SC 2025

Conference
St. Louis, MO, USA

SC is one of the leading global conferences in the field of high-performance computing, bringing together researchers, technology providers, and practitioners from academia, industry, and supercomputing centres worldwide. SC 2025, held in St. Louis, provided a key international forum for exchanging knowledge, showcasing innovations, and discussing future developments in HPC.

EVITA participated in SC 2025 in St. Louis to present its work on strengthening skills development across Europe’s high-performance computing (HPC) community. EVITA focuses on building a coherent learning framework that supports structured learning pathways, helping learners navigate from individual skills to professional profiles and future certification opportunities. In parallel, the project supports the development of short, modular training units through public calls, enabling reusable and adaptable training content across Europe.

During the conference, EVITA was represented at the IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center booth and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center booth. On Tuesday, 18 November, from 10:00 to 13:00, visitors had the opportunity to meet Prof. Maria-Ribera Sancho and Karina Pešatová, who provided insights into EVITA’s objectives, ongoing activities, and upcoming opportunities, and answered questions from the HPC community.

Participation in SC 2025 offered an important opportunity to engage with international stakeholders, exchange ideas on European HPC training pathways, and raise awareness of EVITA’s approach to coordinated, high-quality training and skills development. The event supported ongoing dialogue with both academic and industrial audiences interested in the future of HPC education and training.
